Zhang Hai'er	Collect to share modern Chinese artworks The collection of the Modern Chinese Art Foundation illustrates Chinese art and its development during the last decades. It currently comprises some 450 works of art, most of which were created from the 1990s onwards. The intention is to expand this collection to include works from earlier periods. Works include oil and mixed media painting, sculpture, installation, video, and photography. The foundation continues to enlarge its collection through donations by institutions, private persons, collectors and artists and through the purchase of new works. The collection is shared with the public by means of publications, exhibitions, loans and through the web site.
