More than only sculptor, Li Gang is at the basis of the Beijing 'Pickled Art Centre' . The Pickled Art Centre had its beginnings as the personal studio of artist and sculptor Li Gang. By 1999, a bronze casting foundry was established on the premises. Through Li Gang's vision and foresight, the Pickled Art Center has now evolved into a comprehensive art and sculpture development center offering a wide variety of material resources, facilities and technical expertise especially designed for the creation of sculpture. The Pickled Art Centre has established a reputation as a locus for international exchange as artists from around the world have come to live and work in China and to exchange ideas and approaches. The comprehensive living and studio facilities of centre foster interaction, community and collaboration.
